Title: Director of Sales and Marketing (Vice President candidate)
CLIENT:
Client company is an emerging wholly owned subsidiary of a publicly
traded parent. They are a developer, integrator and distributor of sophisticated
image, map and database products and technology. Contained within the products
are a broad spectrum of traditional GIS functions for mapping and imaging
processing, including map and image source data management, map display,
map editing, image display, and image editing. They provide a comprehensive
product allowing information stored in corporate databases to be analyzed
from a geospatial perspective. Normal business end users, not just GIS
experts, will be able to manage information from a geographic perspective.
Through strategic partnerships, the company plans to integrate the product
seamlessly with line-of-business solutions.
POSITION:
Reporting directly to the President of this emerging GIS software business,
the Director of Sales and Marketing will manage all aspects of sales and
marketing activities for this entity. This will include setting up highly
charged sales and channel teams. Coordinate processes and procedures. Establish
a support services function. Aside from building a sales process, this
executive will also be building applicable distribution channels. Be the
architect! Will establish a stable of contacts from previous relationships
and call on existing and new customers in a sales revenue gathering capacity.
Achieve highest revenue possible by targeting customer segments, increasing
profitability. Will hire, train and motivate staff in a developing role
and work with the management team in the execution of a strategic agenda.
CANDIDATE:
