Title: President U.S. Subsidiary

CLIENT:
Client company is a $7 million sales and service subsidiary of a $40 million international industry partner providing automated quality control solutions to the U.S. paper industry. It is located in Atlanta with its sister companies strategically located worldwide. All corporate marketing, manufacturing and R&D is done in Sweden. The company spends approximately 7% of their revenue on research and development and are heavily dependent on new products.(Approximately 45 % of their current sales come from products that have been developed over the past 5 years). Philosophically, the company is committed to Knowledge Sharing with their customer, R&D and Quality.

POSITION:
This position reports to the President. The individual will have P&L responsibilities for the Americas Marketing Organization with sales, service, accounting and technical support. Their budget for year end 1996 is forecast at approximately $7 million, with a complement of 19 employees. Since they anticipate expansion in this particular marketplace, the new Subsidiary President will be a key contributor to the development of a strategic plan and its implementation. This professional will accept the responsibility for achieving or exceeding sales of $12 million in North America over the next five years with a profit-to-sales ratio of 5 %. The successful candidate will be charged with motivating the subsidiary's key people to work effectively together. Ultimately, the position's charter will be to create a harmonious, customer responsive organization, and to enhance recognition as the industry leader.
